What is Duofuse wood composite?
Duofuse is a high‑quality wood composite made from a mix of wood flour and PVC. This combination provides the natural appearance of wood together with the durability and stability of PVC.
It is manufactured in Belgium from raw materials to finished product.
What are the main advantages of Duofuse?
Duofuse products offer several advantages, including:
-
Low maintenance: no more oiling or painting
-
Rot‑free, splinter‑free and mould‑resistant
-
Brushed anti‑slip surface, ideal around swimming pools
-
Colour stability: slight colour variation in the first weeks, then fully stabilised
- Ecological and recyclable: produced in Belgium using PEFC‑certified wood
Which products does Duofuse offer?
The range includes:
-
Decking boards (hollow and solid)
-
Garden fencing / screens
-
Garden gates
Available in colours such as Graphite Black, Stone Grey, Wenge Brown and Tropical Brown — and even in photorealistic wood‑grain prints.
How do I maintain Duofuse products?
Duofuse is very easy to maintain. In most cases, the following is sufficient:
-
Clean with water and mild soap
-
Avoid aggressive chemical solvents
- High‑pressure cleaning allowed up to max. 80 bar
Do Duofuse panels or decking boards discolour?
Yes, slight initial discolouration may occur due to the natural leaching of lignin (a natural wood component).
This stabilises after a few weeks, after which the colour remains consistent for decades.
Are Duofuse boards suitable for all weather conditions?
Yes. Thanks to the combination of wood flour and PVC, the boards are:
-
UV‑resistant
-
Moisture‑resistant
-
Resistant to rain, snow and temperature fluctuations
What is the difference between hollow and solid decking boards?
The quality of wood composite (WPC) depends heavily on its formulation.
Because of the type and quality of PVC used in Duofuse®, a high‑quality hollow decking board can be produced.
Solid Duofuse® decking boards offer even better technical performance, including higher fire‑reaction ratings.
Hollow decking boards
-
Lightweight
-
Ideal for balconies and roof terraces
-
Perfectly compatible with the Duofuse aluminium substructure
-
Approx. 18 kg/m², among the lightest boards on the market
Solid decking boards
-
Higher impact resistance
- Better fire‑reaction class
How are Duofuse decking boards installed?
Duofuse decking boards are installed with invisible fixings:
-
On PVC or wooden joists using stainless steel Duofuse clips
- Or with the faster Duofuse aluminium substructure, which saves up to 50% installation time
Is Duofuse easy to install?

Do Duofuse decking boards have fire certification?
Do Duofuse decking boards have fire certification?
Yes. All colours within the DFD, DFDE and DFDS ranges are individually tested for fire behaviour, because colour affects performance during fire exposure.
Fire certification is never issued for the board alone but always applies to the complete construction.
Certification is only valid when the decking board is installed with the Duofuse aluminium substructure.
